official and it's called road twinning. All across the globe the
highways of the world are getting together and twinning. Basically it's
as meaningful as towns twinning. The bit when they put up a sign and
have free loading jolly jaunts. Claim your taxi on taxes. Only this is
at a more local level, doesn't involve any harm, no speeches, no
rhetoric and no sense. Denneweg is in The Hague (not the capital of Holland, but the Queen has a nice house nearby) where the shops shut early except on Thursday but the bars stay open. It has a canal nearby as they do in Holland. The atmosphere chimes in well with Beech Road in Chorlton, and that is why no doubt it has been selected as one of the European pilot twinning schemes. |
